SETTING UP TIME

Campomaggi opens its first flagship store in Milan’s Via della Spiga, in the heart of Milan’s prestigious fashion district.

The space is designed with the ambitious goal of telling the brand great craftsmanship and immerse the visitor into a world of memories and connections with the origins of the company and its designer.

The store project, designed by architect Pier Currà, is made with materials and furnishings that enhance the visitor experience, moving between cultural references and immediate sensations.

Thus, the encounter between black wood and brass, reveals the secular geometries of the plutei (bookstands) of the Malatestian Libraryin Cesena, UNESCO heritage, also interpreted through the choice of electing the book as a symbol of the whole project and key.

Oxidized grids that support the precious bracelets and wallets on display are reminiscences of the powerful railings of the Teodorano castle, medieval village and place of birth of the designer.

Similarly, large perforated doors give voice to the mirabilia kept in the Italian sixteenth-century workrooms, witnesses of distant journeys and precious memories.

«The flagship store Campomaggi marks an important development for the company’s identity –said the architect– and we are delighted with the result. Nature, art, passion for culture and excellent craftsmanship are at the foundation of the Campomaggi brand. There is a sense of great and exciting responsibilities in being able to enhance all these aspects in the retail project that will involve the future stores worldwide. It’s a challenge that, as Italians, honors us and adds to another broken record: the execution of a Milan project in just 16 days

Today Campomaggi bags are distributed in the most prestigious stores worldwide and the brand is currently in Milan with a showroom in Via Sant’Andrea with the other two company brands, Caterina Lucchi and Gabs Franco Gabbrielli.

The Via della Spiga boutique represents for Campomaggi the first chapter of the single-brand retail, with next openings planned in USA and in Europe.
