Korean architects Khan Project have designed a retail shop in Seoul channels as a giant aquarium. A square façade frames the shop with a fish-tank like effect.
The cosy 52 sqm floorplan focuses on fish and closet and boasts simple white walls with blue accent lighting, creating a fish tank-like effect.
The long and narrow space has an undulating “wave” along the bottoms of its two main walls, which lead to a fish-filled aquarium at the end of the store.
In a surprising twist, one area has a rectangular plywood closet space adds warm tones to the otherwise cool space. The designers say the wood keeps the otherwise white and blue space from appearing too cold.
