In the urban landscape of Fujian, in southeastern China, the interior design studio Cun Panda Nana develops a project that redefines the wellness experience through a soft, fluid and sensory architectural language. The result is Hoormem Muscle Research Aesthetics Center, a 1,000-square-meter beauty center that consistently interprets the principles of organic design for beauty centers. Within the landscape of projects related to interior design and wellness, Hoormem constructs an environment in which form, light and perception contribute to a calibrated and immersive spatial experience.
A spatiality inspired by the human body
The concept takes shape from a precise idea: the softness of the body as the projectโs underlying matrix. Curved lines, arched openings, sculptural volumes and a muted color palette define an interior that encourages calm, introspection and self-care. Space is not organized as a simple functional sequence, but as a continuous system of surfaces and thresholds that naturally accompanies the visitor.
The stated theoretical reference recalls Horst Rittelโs reflections on softness as a quality capable of affecting everyday life. In this project, that principle is translated into an enveloping composition in which tactile and visual perception become an integral part of the architectural identity.
Organic design for beauty centers and visual continuity
Inside Hoormem, organic forms interact with geometric volumes โ circles, squares, triangles and rectangles โ arranged within a controlled balance. The project avoids rigid contrasts and instead privileges perceptual continuity achieved through curves, junctions and openings that expand the depth of the interiors. This compositional grammar makes spaces recognizable without relying on superfluous decorative elements.

Light, materiality and atmosphere
The use of indirect lighting, the materiality of surfaces and the control of visual composition guide the visitor through a path in which body and space interact. Light does not only perform a technical function, but also helps shape volumes, soften transitions and reinforce the sense of continuity. The result is a diffused atmosphere suited to a place dedicated to wellness and sensory experience.

A project interpreting contemporary wellness
The project represents an effective synthesis of how organic design for beauty centers can strengthen the identity of a place and improve the quality of the user experience. In a context increasingly attentive to wellness and the experiential dimension, Hoormem translates the search for comfort into a sequence of fluid, coherent and recognizable spaces. More than a formal trend, softness becomes a design device acting on perception, orientation and the relationship between user and environment.
