Panda Nana designs Control Bar in Zhangzhou, Fujian, as a futuristic cocktail and whisky bar where technology, light and sculptural interiors define the customer experience. The project breaks away from the conventional bar format through an immersive environment shaped by organic curves, digital atmospheres and site-specific installations.
The interior combines space design and brand identity to create a recognizable hospitality concept. Curved grids, reflective materials and dynamic lighting generate a visual language inspired by futurism, transforming the bar into a scenographic and highly experiential destination.

The façade transforms the bar into a sculptural urban presence
The project begins with a façade designed as a twisted visual network integrated into the architecture. The two-dimensional wall surface is transformed into a three-dimensional effect, giving the exterior the presence of a sculptural installation.
This treatment increases the visibility of Control Bar from the street and reinforces its identity as a destination space. The façade introduces the futuristic language of the project before customers enter the interior.

Organic curves and grids create a digital spatial atmosphere
From exterior to interior, round curves and grid systems define the spatial experience. The design breaks traditional axes and boundaries, replacing conventional bar geometry with a fluid and immersive environment.
The three-dimensional network wall, composed of organic curves, disrupts the horizontal and vertical order of the space. This approach creates a pioneering visual effect and gives the bar a strong sense of movement.
Site-specific installations, including the astronaut at the entrance and the “unborn human beings” at the bar, strengthen the futuristic identity of the concept and provide distinctive visual moments for customers.

Dynamic lighting and colour create an immersive multisensory experience
Light and colour are central elements in the Control Bar interior. The lighting system changes colour and flickering frequency according to different music styles and scenes, adapting the atmosphere to different moments of use.
When reflected on the stainless steel surfaces, light spreads across the space and amplifies the immersive quality of the interior. The interaction between changing colour, reflective materials and curved forms gives the bar a continuous sense of transformation.

Space design and brand identity define the commercial experience
The project integrates interior design and brand design into a single visual system. The designers extend the blurred, avant-garde and sci-fi language of the space into the brand identity, using materials with different textures and saturations together with retro technological elements.
The result is a coherent hospitality environment designed to support recognition, social interaction and customer engagement. Beyond its visual impact, the project considers functions, operations and scenes to create a place where guests are encouraged to stay longer and return.
Control Bar demonstrates how contemporary hospitality design can use technology, atmosphere and brand experience to build a strong sense of place identity.
