The innovative jewelry retail design concept developed for the Goldsmiths chain, part of Aurum Holdings, is designed by Green Room and implemented across six locations in the United Kingdom.
Design as an experiential device in jewelry retail
The project defines a spatial framework where design operates as both a narrative and functional tool, supporting an evolved retail experience. The boutique draws inspiration from leading international jewelry environments and adopts a design language based on a balanced contrast between black and white tones, enhancing the brilliance of the displayed collections.
The resulting atmosphere is contemporary and controlled, aligned with a positioning oriented toward accessible luxury. Within this context, the layout guides customers through a fluid spatial sequence, avoiding rigid configurations and enabling intuitive navigation.

Modular layout and lighting strategy in retail design
A key feature of the project is the flexibility of the display system. The modular layout allows continuous reconfiguration of the space, adapting to seasonal changes and different product categories.
At the same time, the lighting system is designed to highlight materials, surfaces, and product details. Light becomes an integral component of spatial identity rather than a purely technical element.
Custom-made display windows with self-supporting structures improve logistics and facilitate the handling and storage of collections.
New target and redefinition of the shopping experience
The growing demand for men’s jewelry introduces a shift in brand positioning. The project responds by expanding its target audience and shaping a more inclusive environment, capable of engaging younger customers.
As highlighted by Mike Roberts, Creative Director at Green Room, the intervention supports customer decision-making through spatial clarity and product organization.
A distinctive feature is the absence of visible price tags on displayed items. This choice reduces decision pressure and contributes to a more relaxed atmosphere, encouraging a slower and more immersive shopping experience.
