The sneaker store New Delhi by Superkicks redefines the retail space through an interior design concept that brings together history, culture and minimalism. Designed by Joint Studio, the store takes inspiration from the monumental forts of the Indian capital, with a clear visual tribute to the renowned Red Fort.

An immersive journey between architecture and heritage
“We wanted to revolutionize the global perception of sneaker brands by creating an immersive journey that evoked the charm of Delhi,” says Nimisha Sharma, founder and creative director of the studio.
The concept of the Superkicks Store in New Delhi is conceived as a sensory journey, where customers enter a cultural setting reinterpreted through a contemporary language.
The element that immediately captures attention is the terracotta colour palette, chosen to evoke the red sandstone typical of Delhi’s architectural heritage. Applied to floors, walls and ceilings, this tone is balanced by the use of white as an accent colour.

Sneaker store New Delhi: theatrical and monolithic interior design
The interior design of Superkicks Store New Delhi makes strategic use of the ceiling height, which reaches almost 5 metres, to create a theatrical and unconventional layout. The stepped arrangement recalls an amphitheatre, while a circular lighting system installed on the ceiling guides the eye towards the heart of the store.
The project maintains an essential yet incisive language. One wall draws attention with large stylized strings referencing sneaker laces, transforming the display into a visual installation.
The lime-terracotta and red sandstone surfaces interact with geometric furnishings and modular display solutions. As a result, the space appears clean, functional and strongly identifiable.

Surfaces, textures and materials between past and present
On the lower ground floor, an acid-treated terrazzo floor recalls old Delhi and introduces a rougher material contrast. The project follows a monolithic design philosophy, where each element is reduced to its essential form in order to enhance the product experience.
The minimalist approach therefore emphasizes both the practicality of the space and the expressive strength of the materials. Superkicks Store New Delhi represents a measured balance between tradition and innovation, with a concept that brings together India’s historic identity and a contemporary visual language.
