Candy is a cocktail bar in the heart of Poznań, Poland. Located on Wrocławska Street, one of the city’s busiest streets, the venue creates a visual and sensory experience based on an original concept that combines the aesthetic of a dreamlike pastry shop with the elegance of a contemporary evening bar.
The project is designed by architect Emilia Szczudło of E. Space Studio, who transforms the space into an environment dominated by sugary colours, soft shapes and carefully detailed elements. The cocktail bar interior design works on spatial perception through a recognizable palette and a coherent decorative direction.
Cocktail bar interior design with pink, blue and candy details
Upon entering, visitors are immersed in a suspended, fairy-tale atmosphere. The interior of Candy cocktail bar is dominated by pastel shades, mainly powder pink and powder blue, which flow across walls, upholstery, sofas and seating.
The ceiling immediately draws attention with its black-and-white striped wallpaper, chosen in contrast with the colour palette to amplify the optical effect and introduce an almost hypnotic dimension.
The venue’s visual identity is also defined by classical decorative elements, including two-tone columns, ornamental stuccoes and ceiling roses, reinterpreted in a pop key within a carefully controlled scenography.

Neon lighting and reflective materials
One of the project’s most distinctive aspects is its lighting. Neon silhouettes featuring lollipops, ice creams and words such as “SUGAR” or “SWEET SHOP” frame the pictures on the walls and enrich the visual scene.
The lights are part of an integrated system with hidden cables, helping maintain a clean and coherent aesthetic. The glossy white marble floor, reflective surfaces and selected upholstery fabrics enhance the perception of elegance, while suspended cotton clouds introduce a playful component.
A hospitality concept between mixology and candy imagery
Candy cocktail bar is conceived as a place for leisure, able to combine the visual universe of sweets with contemporary mixology. The project avoids excess through precise control of colours, materials and decorative signs.
The intervention shows how a coherent vision and careful attention to detail can define a recognizable interior, where lightness, theatricality and comfort coexist within a unified spatial narrative.
