MICRO by Agrob Buchtal: Ceramic Surfaces Shaped by Geometry, Texture and Comfort

Dettaglio delle superfici decorative MICRO con texture lineari e motivi geometrici

Developed by Agrob Buchtal in collaboration with designer Sebastian Herkner, MICRO is a ceramic collection that explores the relationship between materiality, geometry and visual comfort. Designed for residential and hospitality environments, the series combines textured surfaces, subtle graphic patterns and a natural colour palette to create spaces defined by continuity, balance and long-lasting appeal.

Material-driven surfaces enhance the interaction between light and texture

MICRO is built around a mineral-inspired ceramic base distinguished by a calm and understated visual character. Rather than relying on strong decorative effects, the collection uses subtle surface variations to reveal depth and texture through changing light conditions.

The design focuses on the sensory qualities of ceramic material. Graphic interventions are carefully integrated into the surface, enriching its appearance while preserving a natural and cohesive aesthetic.

This balance between geometric precision and material warmth makes the collection suitable for a wide range of contemporary interiors, from residential spaces to hospitality settings.

Lines, Mesh and Square introduce a refined graphic vocabulary

The collection features three decorative patternsโ€”Lines, Mesh and Squareโ€”each offering a different interpretation of geometric structure.

Lines creates a delicate linear rhythm across the surface, while Mesh introduces a subtle grid pattern that adds visual definition. Square develops a checkerboard-inspired composition that generates depth and nuanced visual movement.

Used individually or in combination with plain surfaces, these patterns expand the design possibilities of the collection while maintaining overall consistency.

A natural colour palette supports timeless interior applications

MICRO is available in seven colourways ranging from warm beige and earthy brown tones to soft neutral greys and the darker Lava shade.

Each colour is paired with a dedicated graphic interpretation, allowing designers to modulate contrast and surface expression according to the requirements of the project.

The palette has been conceived to integrate easily into different architectural contexts, contributing to calm and visually balanced environments.

Modular formats provide flexibility across floors and walls

The collection is available in 5 ร— 5 cm, 15 ร— 15 cm, 30 ร— 30 cm, 60 ร— 60 cm and 60 ร— 120 cm formats.

Decorative surfaces are developed in the 60 ร— 60 cm size and can be combined with plain tiles to create coordinated compositions. The range also includes mosaics, stair elements and skirting solutions.

A 10 ร— 60 cm coved skirting element helps create a seamless transition between wall and floor surfaces, reinforcing visual continuity throughout the space.

The variety of formats allows the system to adapt to projects of different scales while maintaining a coherent material language.

A ceramic system designed for durability and design versatility

MICRO is conceived as an open design system capable of supporting different spatial concepts without compromising visual coherence.

Rather than following short-lived trends, the collection embraces a restrained and enduring design language. The combination of textured surfaces and geometric patterns enables designers to create distinctive environments while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.

Alongside its visual qualities, the ceramic material offers durability, reliability and long-term performance, making the collection suitable for both residential and high-traffic hospitality applications.
