Designed by Alessandro Scandurra for iGuzzini, Cryso is a family of outdoor luminaires developed for hospitality and residential environments. The design combines an essential formal language with optical solutions engineered to deliver soft, uniform light, enhancing materials and architectural surfaces.
Available in wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted and pendant versions, Cryso offers different lighting configurations to meet the requirements of outdoor and semi-open spaces while maintaining a discreet presence within the architectural setting.

The Concentric Diffuser Defines Cryso’s Design
Cryso’s defining feature is its transparent diffuser, distinguished by a concentric texture that gives the luminaire its visual identity.
When switched off, the diffuser reveals depth and material richness. When illuminated, it delivers a full, even light, contributing to visual comfort and enhancing architectural surfaces.
The luminaire’s understated design allows the light source to integrate into the architecture without visually competing with the surrounding elements.
Three Optical Configurations for Different Lighting Requirements
The Cryso family includes three optical configurations developed to meet different light distribution requirements.
Wall R360ยฐ uses reflected light to create a radial lighting effect, while Ceiling General Light provides soft, uniform illumination.
Ceiling Beam Angles features interchangeable spot, medium and flood optics, enabling more precise beam control. This configuration is particularly suitable for covered outdoor areas, porticoes and semi-open spaces.
These solutions allow designers to select the appropriate light distribution according to the architectural characteristics of the space and its lighting requirements.
DALI-2, IP66 Protection and Lighting Performance
Cryso’s technical specifications include the DALI-2 protocol, an IP66 protection rating and IK07 impact resistance.
The luminaire achieves a luminous efficacy of up to 67 lm/W and a maximum luminous flux of 550 lm.
These specifications define the technical profile of a luminaire family developed to combine perceived light quality, controlled distribution and suitability for outdoor environments.
Repairability and Five Finishes for Architectural Integration
Cryso is designed to be easily dismantled and repaired, simplifying maintenance and helping to extend the luminaire’s service life.
The range is available in five finishes: white, grey, black, rust brown and green, allowing the luminaires to adapt visually to different architectural contexts.
The combination of a concentric diffuser, optical configurations and installation options defines a family of luminaires in which light quality, design flexibility and ease of maintenance are central to the project.
