Terra Forma by Hovia: wallpapers inspired by marble, stone and wood

Terra Forma by Hovia marble-effect wallpaper in a hospitality interior

Marble, stone and wood provide the starting point for Terra Forma, Hovia’s new wallpaper collection. Textures, veining and tonal variations draw on the appearance of natural materials and translate their visual characteristics onto wall surfaces.

The collection looks at materials long used in interior design and reworks them through pattern. Rather than creating uniform surfaces, the designs retain the veining, tonal shifts and irregularities associated with the original materials.

Marble, stone and wood-effect wallpapers

Terra Forma includes wallpapers inspired by marble, stone and aged wood. Veining, colour variations and irregular markings are reproduced graphically on the wall surface, adding visual depth without using the natural material itself.

The palette and finishes have been developed for both contemporary and more classic interiors. Hovia suggests applications ranging from boutique hotels and destination restaurants to high-end residential spaces.

In the collection image, a marble-inspired wallpaper covers an entire wall and is paired with dark timber, stone surfaces and metal details. The application shows how a strongly patterned wallpaper can cover a large surface while providing the visual character of marble without using the material itself.

Designed to last beyond trends

According to Lauren Kavanagh, Art Director at Hovia, marble, stone and wood remain important in interiors because of their tactile character and enduring appeal. Their growing presence at European design shows over the past year contributed to the development of Terra Forma, although Hovia positions the collection as a long-term design choice rather than a response to a single trend.
