The New Lee Cooper Concept Store in Istanbul

The new Lee Cooper concept store in Turkey redefines the brand’s identity through a project developed by CBTE Architecture. The interior design draws inspiration from the heritage of the British denim brand, active since 1908, and transforms this legacy into a contemporary design language. From the entrance onward, the store conveys an atmosphere that blends authenticity, memory, and a distinctly urban style, creating a welcoming and immediately recognizable environment.

A design that reinterprets the brand’s historical heritage

To create a coherent spatial narrative, the design team examined the brand’s origins within the context of the Industrial Revolution. This historical reference is not treated as a simple stylistic detail; instead, it lays the foundation for an immersive experience. The choice of materials reflects the architectural language of the era, while the attention to proportions and volumes enhances the perception of a strong and distinctive environment, capable of expressing both the brand’s solidity and the value of its iconic products.

Industrial materials and a warm, welcoming atmosphere

To ensure a pleasant and inviting space, CBTE Architecture selected finishes that evoke a lived-in character without compromising on refined detailing. Aged brick walls interact with L-shaped steel beams, metal mesh panels, and angular brackets, recalling the aesthetics of a contemporary factory. At the same time, warmer surfaces—such as textured wood—and elements like raw-cut marble tabletops create a balanced visual composition. The result is a dynamic interior where products are showcased within a coherent and engaging setting.

Graphic details and visual references

The brand’s visual identity is further reinforced through period photographs displayed behind the counter and hand-painted graphic elements inspired by Lee Cooper’s heritage. Used with precision and balance, these details enrich the narrative and highlight the dialogue between past and present, strengthening the connection between interior architecture and brand storytelling.
