In the heart of Kyiv, the Storage X Domaine 17 project transforms three historic ground-floor units into an iconic destination for streetwear enthusiasts and urban design lovers. Curated by Temp Project studio, this concept store merges two separate showrooms – Storage for men and Domaine 17 for women – creating an experimental environment where industrial aesthetics, brutalist language, and sophisticated details converge.
Retail design for a streetwear concept store
The project begins with the adaptive reuse of three spaces on the ground floor of an early 20th-century building. Architect Anastasiia Tempynska (see also Cher’17 showroom) chose to preserve the original architectural features, such as arches, exposed brickwork, and wooden-beamed ceilings, juxtaposing them with raw surfaces and exposed steel. The aim? To recreate the atmosphere of an abandoned industrial site reclaimed by nature, where human intervention is reduced to a minimum.

Storage: men’s streetwear between security and exclusivity
The first unit houses Storage, dedicated to men’s fashion. Once a beauty salon, the space now features an irregular floor and a poured concrete counter. The interior design recalls an urban skatepark, highlighting the dynamic character of the brand. At the center stands a theatrical vault, symbolizing the exclusivity and value of the clothing on display. Footwear collections are secured behind armored doors, while a steel backdrop shooting area and a mechanized lifting system for garments make the space highly functional and flexible.
Domaine 17: brutalist femininity with pop accents
The second unit, Domaine 17, offers a softer take on the industrial concept. A grey color palette is animated by wavy mirror frames designed by brand Oito and pink wheels on the garment racks. Corrugated steel walls reference the world of workshops, yet are balanced by artistic elements and immersive installations. Among them, a chaotic and captivating display of vintage TVs films visitors in real-time, projecting visual glitches on the screens to create a layered and interactive experience.
An immersive experience of mirrors and design
The third area hosts the fitting rooms – a surreal space transformed into a mirrored labyrinth. The reflective walls create optical illusions, while heavy vault doors and Oito’s asymmetrical pink Bug table heighten the dreamlike dimension. Here, the shopping experience becomes performative, turning the customer into the main character of a visual narrative.

Materials, colors, and urban culture in Kyiv
The Storage X Domaine 17 project in Kyiv is characterized by a color palette of greys, blacks, and lilacs, enriched with moss green and lemon yellow touches through small islands of spontaneous vegetation. Materials such as concrete, metal, steel, and brick convey a raw and authentic aesthetic. The furnishings – inspired by movement design – include armchairs with interwoven cylindrical cushions and a large curved sofa, enhancing the sense of fluidity and motion.
With a cohesive visual language and a strong urban identity, this streetwear concept store in Kyiv establishes itself as a benchmark for contemporary retail and design experimentation.
