A Soft and Fluid Spatial Journey
Situated within the Puri Indah Mall in West Jakarta, the new Shaddy Store—designed by the Indonesian architecture firm For Good Studio—emerges as an architectural statement of contemporary elegance and femininity. More than just a retail space, it offers a sensorial journey shaped by soft forms, diffused light and an enveloping spatial experience.
From the very entrance, the atmosphere is bright yet intimate, breaking away from the rigidity of conventional store layouts. Instead, the space unfolds through sculptural curves and continuous surfaces that guide visitors fluidly through the store. Every element is conceived to engage with the product on display subtly yet effectively.

Natural Light and Sculptural Minimalism
A large central skylight bathes the interior in natural light, highlighting the soft textures and creating an almost ethereal environment. The ceiling follows a gentle curvature that echoes the movement of the visitor, while the perimeter walls bend inward to host full-height integrated shelving. These niches are backlit with indirect lighting, showcasing the merchandise without disrupting the visual harmony.
A Balanced Palette that Highlights the Product
Muted, dusty tones dominate the palette, reinforcing a sense of calm and sophistication. This restrained backdrop allows the colourful collection of shoes to truly shine, transforming the store into a curated stage where each piece stands out as a design object. The equilibrium between architectural minimalism and vibrant product display is at the core of the concept—turning shopping into an immersive, reflective act.
Material Accents and Tailored Furnishings
The sculptural cashier counter, crafted from a striking slab of veined blue marble, introduces a material richness at the heart of the layout. At the centre, a sinuous upholstered bench merges seamlessly with the main display, forming a soft island that encourages exploration and pause.
Every furnishing element is tailored and integrated into the architectural vision: a large organically shaped mirror visually expands the space; textile samples offer a tactile reference to customization; ribbed fabric poufs dialogue chromatically with the shoe collection. The entire fit-out is orchestrated with stylistic consistency and material sensibility.

A Contemporary Retail Vision by For Good Studio
The final result is a retail space that celebrates femininity without clichés—through a strong yet gentle visual language that merges interior design, retail strategy and brand identity into a perfectly balanced whole. With this project, For Good Studio reaffirms its refined approach to designing retail environments that are not only functional and coherent, but also emotionally engaging and spatially poetic.
