A visionary journey to new peaks
For nearly fifty years, Bosideng has stood at the forefront of a continuous evolution—reflecting a growing cultural confidence and embracing new expressions of fashion. Its flagship store in the vibrant district of Sanlitun, a hub of contemporary style in Beijing, embodies this vision. More than a retail destination, it represents a strategic manifesto: a place where the brand redefines its identity and connects with a discerning, design-conscious audience through an immersive spatial experience.
The concept, *Relentless Journey Toward Dream Peaks*, unfolds across four narrative chapters. Each one reinterprets Bosideng’s signature symbols—such as the “Ice and Snow Loong” and the “Three Poles”—translating them into architectural elements and scenographic installations that bridge the extreme and the futuristic.

A design language inspired by exploration
The interior pays tribute to the spirit of conquest and high-altitude exploration. Drawing inspiration from polar expeditions, the store’s design recreates the layered textures of Mount Everest through materials and finishes that evoke rock formations and snow. The full-height glass façade, intersected by sleek metal lines, establishes a clean, futuristic aesthetic that reflects the brand’s forward-looking vision.
The loong—an iconic Chinese dragon and a cultural emblem—is reimagined through traditional relief techniques. Carved in jade, its shimmering scales and flowing whiskers bring the sculpture to life. This powerful visual symbol strengthens Bosideng’s local cultural identity while elevating its urban presence. The gradient glass façade, with cloud-like effects and changing hues, evokes a surreal landscape of ice and sky.

Inside the mountain: design meets nature
The immersive journey continues indoors, where design elements inspired by Everest and the polar regions are integrated into a fluid, well-balanced spatial layout. Lighting, materials, and composition guide visitors through an emotional and sensorial exploration. A striking upside-down sculpture of Mount Everest greets guests at the entrance, accompanied by a large mirror that reflects its dramatic slopes—introducing the store’s narrative with symbolic impact.
A circular structure engraved with Everest’s coordinates celebrates Bosideng’s milestones, transforming the customer path into a visual timeline. Thematic zones inspired by Arctic and Antarctic glaciers use blue-toned gradient lighting to simulate the glow of ice fissures, enhancing the immersive atmosphere and providing a unique visual backdrop.
The functional design of the window display highlights the technical sophistication of the Dengfeng Collection, using contour graphics and curated typography to communicate performance and innovation.
A passage beyond the peak
On the upper floor, a luminous ceiling installation inspired by the Aurora Borealis guides visitors into a new spatial dimension. Through projection-mapping technology, the dynamic northern lights unfold above, casting light and shadow across walls and stairs to create an ethereal, dreamlike environment. The transition suggests a movement from the frozen earth toward the infinite possibilities of the polar sky.
This second level represents a conceptual leap from nature to future. It’s a high-tech environment where immersive projection walls, ambient sound, artificial snow effects, and art installations evoke the experience of a polar expedition. Visitors are transported into a meticulously designed ice field, highlighting Bosideng’s deep connection to both natural elements and technological innovation.
Design meets sustainability and innovation
At the heart of the upper level, a kinetic walkway connects different display zones. Inspired by Antarctic exploration, this interactive structure uses mechanical systems and intelligent sensors to regulate movement and flow. Interwoven conveyor belts form a fluid, dynamic network—symbolizing the seamless integration of technology and nature.
The walkway itself draws from the architectural heritage of Beijing’s Yonghe Temple. Hexagonal glass panels, reminiscent of green-glazed roof tiles, feature geometric patterns that reference the loong’s scales and armor. Display islands of varying heights, paired with adjustable suspended rails, invite visitors to view the garments from every angle. Feathers and technical filling materials are also used in the display language, emphasizing Bosideng’s manufacturing expertise and commitment to excellence.

A retail space shaped by identity and ambition
Bosideng’s flagship store in Sanlitun goes beyond the conventional retail typology. It stands as a spatial statement—an immersive environment where Chinese tradition meets global ambition, and where narrative, technology, and design converge to offer an elevated brand experience.
Through an impactful architectural language and a coherent storytelling approach, the project sets a new benchmark in contemporary retail design. It engages visitors on both a sensory and emotional level, redefining the customer journey and affirming Bosideng’s position as a leader in both innovation and cultural expression.
