DelightFULL and Essential Home collaborate with designer Karim Rashid on the Kasual Collection, a series of lighting pieces and furnishings developed around the concept of “casualism”. The collection explores the evolution of contemporary interiors, where the home increasingly integrates functions related to work, hospitality, relaxation and social interaction.
Designed by Karim Rashid, the collection translates the designer’s futuristic and sensual visual language into products defined by soft geometries, sculptural forms and contemporary materials.
Kasual Collection and casual luxury
The Kasual Collection combines luxury aesthetics with a softer and more flexible approach to living. According to Karim Rashid, contemporary interiors require furnishings able to support comfort, ergonomics and emotional wellbeing while adapting to constantly changing lifestyles.
The collection introduces lighting pieces and furnishings conceived for residential, hospitality and lounge environments, balancing minimal forms, expressive materials and sculptural silhouettes.
Lighting design between sculpture and function
Lighting design plays a central role in the collection. The lamps combine decorative presence and functional performance, using brass, frosted glass and curved forms to generate diffused and atmospheric lighting effects.
The project moves beyond traditional decorative references and develops a fluid visual language, where mid-century influences and contemporary production interact through carefully crafted materials.
Kapsule suspension lamp
The Kapsule suspension lamp is conceived as a sculptural lighting object, defined by curved brass strips assembled by hand. The large-format suspension combines a futuristic aesthetic with soft and feminine lines, suitable for hospitality interiors and luxury residential spaces.
The lighting fixture creates a scenographic effect while maintaining precise illumination, reinforcing the relationship between craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Katia lighting family
The Katia family includes table and pendant lamps inspired by mushroom-style silhouettes. Brass finishes, cylindrical volumes and curved shades define a lighting series influenced by mid-century aesthetics and contemporary interiors.
The Katia Table Lamp is designed for flexible environments such as lounges, hospitality spaces and home offices, while the Katia Pendant Lamp introduces a more decorative suspended element for living and dining areas.
Krown suspension and chandelier
The Krown family reinterprets the traditional chandelier through geometric compositions and sculptural forms. Handmade brass structures combined with frosted glass generate diffused lighting effects and emphasize the visual balance of the fixtures.
Krown Suspension and Krown Chandelier are conceived as statement pieces for contemporary interiors, where light becomes part of the architectural composition of the space.
Disko table lamp and expressive lighting design
The Disko Table Lamp introduces a more playful and expressive approach to lighting design. Inspired by marquee and rainbow-style lighting systems, the lamp combines neon-inspired light, curved geometries and anti-reflective acrylic surfaces.
Conceived for hospitality interiors and entertainment-oriented environments, Disko transforms light into a focal point able to add color, identity and dynamism to the space.
Design language and craftsmanship
Across the Kasual Collection, Karim Rashid combines digital experimentation with handcrafted production techniques. Organic forms, geometric volumes and sensory surfaces define a collection conceived to create emotionally engaging interiors while maintaining a strong functional dimension.
The collaboration between DelightFULL, Essential Home and Karim Rashid reflects the growing relationship between lighting design, collectible design and contemporary interior styling.
