ATMOSPHERE Architects designs the new concept store for jewelry brand KVK inside the Jingronghui shopping mall in Chengdu, China. The project introduces a futuristic and mysterious vision of the jewelry store, creating an environment where retail design and artistic language overlap.
The intervention explores the subtle boundary between art and retail, transforming the store into a modular, flexible and visually controlled spatial sequence.

Modularity and design language
The new concept aims to dismantle and reorganize the philosophy of art through the language of design.
Tommy Yu, chief designer at ATMOSPHERE Architects, uses the concept of modularity to achieve a penetration of context, completing the transformation and reconstruction of the spatial content.

Black grid, lighting and white surfaces
A black grid structure installed on the ceiling allows light to penetrate from above, reflecting on the white floor tiles.
The walls are composed of different overlapping modules, surrounded by double arches that help define the layout and build an ordered spatial rhythm.
Modular furniture and display flexibility
Flexibility is an integral part of the concept. The central display unit consists of a series of modules that can be moved and joined together, integrated with different models of curved stands.
The result is an essential and clean environment, where modularity becomes both a compositional principle and an operational tool for jewelry display.
