Good Shoes, Good Foot by REGAL is a 75.48 sqm footwear store in Tokyo designed by Ryusuke Nanki / Dentsu for Regal Corporation. Conceived for working women, the project uses colour, materials and differentiated floor zones to create a retail environment reflecting a variety of professional settings and lifestyles.
Rather than associating workwear exclusively with conventional black suits and pumps, the concept presents footwear for women working in different professions and environments. This approach is translated into the interior through a distinctive combination of pink and pale teak.

Pink and teak define the retail identity
Pink is used throughout the store as the principal identifying colour, conceived as a contemporary counterpoint to stereotypical images of workplace fashion. Its visual impact is balanced by pale teak, which introduces warmth into the display system.
The two finishes extend across the shelving and architectural elements. Their distribution is reversed between wall-mounted displays and shelving integrated into the pillars, creating variation and rhythm while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
Display systems organise the footwear collection
Shoes and accessories are presented on long illuminated shelves running along the perimeter, while curved freestanding elements introduce additional display surfaces within the central area.
The contrast between the rectilinear wall displays and the softer geometry of the central elements helps articulate the 75.48 sqm interior without creating rigid divisions. Products remain clearly visible while circulation develops around the different display areas.

Four floor zones represent different workplace scenarios
A defining element of the project is the introduction of four pool-shaped areas within the floor, each conceived to evoke a different workplace environment.
Unified by pink outlines, the zones use different materials: wood flooring, office tile, a hard surface reminiscent of asphalt and carpet. The material changes suggest different working conditions and encourage customers to relate the footwear selection to their own professional environment and everyday walking habits.
Rather than functioning simply as decoration, the floor therefore becomes part of the store’s merchandising and customer experience strategy.
Fitting becomes part of the retail experience
The concept also reflects REGAL’s focus on shoe fitting. Customers are encouraged to consider not only style but also their workplace, walking habits and individual fit when selecting footwear.
The store combines product presentation with areas where customers can take time to try different models with the assistance of trained staff. In this way, display, material choices and fitting are integrated into a retail environment centred on the relationship between footwear and everyday use.
