In Doha, Tulimond designed Pink Confessions as a compact 68 sqm beauty space combining a nail studio, hair salon and coffee bar within a single interior. The project brings together different functions through an open-plan layout, using colour, geometry and metallic details to establish a coherent visual identity.
The interior is defined by a predominantly blush-pink palette, combined with geometric forms and reflective metal elements. Rather than treating the three functions as separate environments, the design uses a common material and chromatic language to connect beauty services and hospitality within the same space.
An open layout for different functions
The hybrid programme strongly influenced the organisation of the interior. Nail treatments, customer seating and the coffee bar are integrated within an open floor plan, allowing the relatively small space to remain visually continuous.
Changes in level and carefully positioned partitions help define individual areas without completely separating them. Circulation was organised to accommodate both customers and staff while maintaining clear functional boundaries where greater privacy was required.
The result is a compact layout in which the different activities remain recognisable but visually connected.
A more private hair salon
The hair salon is treated differently from the other functions. Because of the noise generated by hairdressing equipment, this area is enclosed to provide greater acoustic separation and privacy.
Above it, a baffle ceiling installation performs both a technical and decorative role. The suspended elements contribute to acoustic control while introducing another geometric layer into the interior.
This combination of enclosure and acoustic treatment allows the hair salon to operate independently without interrupting the visual language established throughout Pink Confessions.
Pink surfaces, geometry and metallic details
Colour plays a central role in defining the identity of the project. Different shades of pink extend across walls, furniture and architectural elements, while metallic finishes introduce contrast and reflections.
Geometric forms are used to organise both the space and the custom elements, creating a consistent relationship between partitions, counters, treatment areas and decorative features.
Within its limited footprint, Pink Confessions combines beauty services, spatial privacy and hospitality through a layout that uses colour and geometry as organising elements rather than simply as decoration.
