The new Kiton boutique in Rome opens at Via del Babuino 22, designed by B+Architects. The 160 sqm space is arranged over two floors and fits into the historic building with a design approach that respects the existing architecture.

Historic façade and urban setting
The façade is preserved and enhanced, with large windows on the ground floor offering full visibility of the interiors. On the first floor, the typical windows are softened by planters and small curtains, contributing to a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere inside.
Boutique concept and materials
The interiors are designed in harmony with the Kiton concept through a linear and light language, conceived to avoid overwhelming the compact dimensions of the space.

The colour palette focuses on neutral tones and soft finishes, with textured fabrics, details in Canaletto walnut with a natural finish, and metals in nickel tones. The result is a relaxed, welcoming environment aligned with the luxury positioning of the brand.
Many of the fabrics used in the concept are those usually inserted inside Kiton jackets, here enhanced as customised furnishing elements.
Product display and flexible furniture
The product display furniture is conceived to ensure flexible presentation and maximum freedom of arrangement. The elements can be used for both men’s and women’s collections, making the space fluid and reconfigurable.

The distinctive Kiton pattern is constantly present as a defining element of the concept developed by B+Architects, through decorative installations made with a mix of the brand’s most precious fabrics.
Lighting and visual comfort
The lighting design is developed to guarantee visual comfort and accurate product perception. High colour rendering LED luminaires allow materials, colours and sartorial details to be displayed correctly.
A high-resolution monitor, deliberately discreet in size, is harmoniously integrated into the store atmosphere and shows dynamic images related to the Kiton lifestyle.

Fitting room and historic staircase
On the ground floor, a large fitting room is conceived as a small VIP room dedicated to trying on garments in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
The internal staircase connecting the two levels is one of the most significant architectural elements of the project. The restyling of the existing historic staircase exposes the original metal structure, enhanced with a special burnishing and waxing treatment.
B+Architects continues to develop several projects for the brand, with new international openings planned in London, New York, Zurich and Shanghai.
