Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar Harrods London: Hospitality Design by Sybarite

Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar da Harrods

The Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar at Harrods represents a refined example of hospitality design where brand heritage is translated into spatial experience. Designed by Sybarite, the project interprets the identity of the Maison through architectural form, materials, and immersive elements, defining a contemporary environment rooted in narrative and place.

Brand identity and concept design

The design is structured around the translation of Moët & Chandon’s core values into space. The project articulates four key dimensions — pleasure, prestige, place, and philosophy — which inform the overall design language.

These principles guide choices in colour, materiality, and spatial composition, ensuring coherence between brand identity and user experience. The environment communicates the ritual of champagne consumption, combining French etiquette with a sense of immediacy and celebration.

Lighting design and sculptural chandelier

At the centre of the space, a large-scale chandelier defines the visual identity of the bar. Extending over 21 metres, the installation is composed of thousands of degradé golden metallic discs.

The element introduces movement and reflection, creating a dynamic ceiling surface that captures light and enhances spatial perception. The chandelier acts as a visual attractor, reinforcing the celebratory atmosphere associated with champagne culture.

Bar layout and spatial configuration

Below the chandelier, the bar counter develops as an organic form inspired by the terroir and topography of the Épernay wine region.

This sculptural approach defines a fluid layout, encouraging interaction and circulation. The geometry avoids rigid lines, favouring a more natural spatial experience aligned with the narrative of origin and craftsmanship.

Materials and formal language

Material selection plays a key role in expressing the heritage of the Maison. Metallic finishes, warm tones, and reflective surfaces contribute to a sophisticated environment that balances luxury and contemporary design.

The integration of materials and lighting supports a cohesive spatial identity, where every element reinforces the brand’s positioning within a high-end retail and hospitality context.
