Interior design project for Caffè Péché in Saint Petersburg

Péché Cafè designed by Quadrum studio

Delicate shades of biscuit, pistachio and coffee define the interior design project for Caffè Péché, designed by Quadrum Studio. The intervention belongs to the hospitality design field, where chromatic identity and formal clarity contribute to shaping the customer experience.

An interior design project for a bar in Saint Petersburg

Péché is a small café and pastry shop located in the centre of Saint Petersburg. The project develops through an essential language based on sober colours, simple geometries and minimalist furniture. This approach reflects a precise design strategy, where the space acts as a discreet support to the product experience.

Grey, a colour strongly associated with the city of Saint Petersburg, becomes the guiding element of the entire interior. It is applied continuously from floor to ceiling, creating a neutral and uniform envelope. Warm accents in pistachio and coffee tones are layered onto this base, introducing perceptive variations and helping define the identity of the venue.

Compositional elements and spatial organization

The main decorative element is a curved suspended structure that runs lengthwise through the interior. This feature introduces a dynamic component within an otherwise rigorous composition, generating a balance between formal control and visual movement.

The spatial organization revolves around a large central table, conceived as a social device. This element encourages interaction between guests and acts as the functional core of the layout. Along the perimeter, more intimate seating areas are arranged with solid wood tables, armchairs and poufs, offering a different mode of use.

A mirrored wall amplifies the perception of the space, visually doubling its depth. This design choice helps optimize the reading of the interior and improves the overall perceptive quality.

The bar counter and product display

The bar counter, defined by an austere aesthetic, plays a central role in the spatial hierarchy. Its function is emphasized by a large illuminated display case showcasing baked goods. Light and transparency become tools to enhance the offer, establishing a direct relationship between product and customer.

The entire project reveals careful control of materials, surfaces and colour palette, balancing neutrality with warm accents. The result is a coherent space, where each element contributes to the creation of a recognizable identity.
