Located in the heart of Malaga, Baca Estudio Dental is more than just a clinic — it is a thoughtfully designed, welcoming, and visually immersive environment. Developed by Lago Interioriza, this project introduces a fresh approach to interior design for dental clinics, where aesthetics, comfort, and functionality come together in perfect balance.
Interior design for dental clinics: beyond clinical function
From the outset, the goal was clear: to transform a traditional medical setting into a multisensory experience. To achieve this, the studio moved away from rigid healthcare design standards and opted instead for a surprising blend of brutalist elements — such as concrete-effect pillars and textured walls — with soft, curved, and inviting forms.

Organic lines define custom-made furniture and partitions, creating a consistent and calming visual language. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this approach enhances acoustic comfort, making the space quieter and more serene.
Designing healthcare spaces that feel warm and functional
The spatial layout is designed to enhance both patient comfort and operational functionality. From the curved, backlit reception desk, visitors are guided into treatment rooms, technical areas, and a compact photo space conceived as a portrait set.
Each zone is articulated through a layering of materials and textures: technical panels, sheer curtains, textile furnishings, and indirect lighting create a carefully choreographed sensory composition. A neutral colour palette, punctuated by a single accent shade in the central area, heightens the scenographic impact.
A new language for medical space design
One of the most distinctive aspects of the project is its street-facing façade, conceived as a transparent display window. Large glazed surfaces reveal the clinic’s interior architecture, strengthening its identity and inviting passers-by to engage with a space unlike any conventional dental office.
Through this design, interior design for dental clinics is reinterpreted in a way that prioritizes not just medical function, but also emotional well-being and patient experience..
