French fashion house Givenchy has unveiled a new flagship store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, as part of an ambitious plan to inaugurate 26 new boutiques worldwide by 2015.
The interiors of the boutique were conceived by French designer Joseph Dirand in collaboration with Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci drawing inspiration from the original black box created by Hubert de Givenchy to package the haute couture garments that he made for his clients.
A minimalist feel is conveyed throughout the370 sqm by a monochrome palette, graphic lines, black-oak parquet, heavy felts, black lacquer, polished and brushed brass, gleaming steel, marble and ceppo (a grey volcanic stone widely used by Dirand).
