Sara Vecchi Salon in Rome: greenery becomes part of the interior design

Sara Vecchi Salon Roma con area verde e dettaglio del muschio stabilizzato

Sara Vecchi Salon is a 500 sqm beauty space on Via Tuscolana in Rome, accommodating a range of beauty and personal care services. The intervention by AbitoVerde in collaboration with AKOstudio integrates greenery into the interior architecture, focusing particularly on the reception desk, the wall behind it and the Urban Jungle area.

Preserved moss, wood and vegetation establish a common visual language across the different areas, introducing natural elements into a large interior accommodating multiple functions and services.

Greenery integrated into the reception desk

The reception desk combines two different wood tones with a long strip of preserved moss integrated into its front.

The natural element is protected by transparent plexiglass panels, maintaining its visibility while preventing direct contact. Greenery therefore becomes an integral part of the furniture rather than an additional decorative feature.

The composition combines wood surfaces, darker finishes and vegetation, introducing the material language that continues on the wall behind the reception area.

A preserved moss wall frames the salon logo

Behind the reception desk, a vertical surface of May Green preserved moss creates a clearly identifiable green backdrop within the salon.

The wall is framed by two vertical wooden sections that recall the lighter tone used for the reception desk. At its centre, the Sara Vecchi Salon logo created by AKOstudio is integrated directly into the green surface.

The desk and wall can therefore be read as a single composition, with materials, colour and visual identity connecting the functional reception element to its architectural backdrop.

The Urban Jungle area

Greenery takes on a different form in the Urban Jungle area, where large-leaved plants create a more intimate zone within the salon.

The vegetation interacts with the botanical motifs of the wallpaper on the opposite wall, extending the natural theme from living plants to graphic surfaces.

Compared with the preserved moss used around the reception, this area introduces a more three-dimensional and informal form of vegetation, helping to differentiate the various areas of the interior.

Nature and materials in the salon interior

The project uses greenery in different ways: integrated into the reception furniture, transformed into a vertical surface behind the desk and developed through planting in the Urban Jungle area.

Its relationship with wood and the other materials establishes visual continuity between these elements, preventing the natural components from appearing as additions independent of the interior design.

At Sara Vecchi Salon, preserved moss, vegetation, wood and graphics therefore contribute to the identity of the space and to the definition of the different areas dedicated to beauty services.
