Microverlay by Isoplam is a cement- and polymer-based system developed to create thin, continuous decorative surfaces.
With the use of specific primers, it can be applied over a wide range of existing substrates, allowing floors, walls, furniture and other surfaces to be renewed without necessarily removing the previous finish.
A cement- and polymer-based system for continuous surfaces
Microverlay is formulated for continuous decorative coatings and can be applied to different substrates, including plasterboard, ceramic, marble, mosaic, tiles, sand-cement screeds, concrete, wood, plastic and glass.
The absence of visible joints and grout lines creates a uniform surface across both horizontal and vertical elements.
The system can also be used to coat furniture and design objects, including tables, chairs and other interior elements.

Application over existing substrates and surfaces exposed to water
According to the characteristics specified by the manufacturer, Microverlay can also be used on surfaces exposed to water, including shower enclosures, washbasins, worktops, kitchen countertops and pool surrounds.
The system is also indicated as compatible with underfloor and wall heating systems.
Its different components are water-based and declared formaldehyde-free, characteristics that allow the coating to be used in a variety of interior applications.
Customisable finishes, colours and textures
Microverlay can be customised through a wide range of colours, shades and surface effects.
Available finishes include glossy, matt, textured, acid-treated and clouded effects, allowing the appearance of the surface to be adapted to different design requirements.
Dedicated rollers and decorative tools can also be used to create textures on vertical surfaces.

Resistance and applications in public and private spaces
According to Isoplam’s stated specifications, Microverlay offers resistance to wear and impact and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Its possible applications include floors and wall coverings for showrooms, stores, restaurants, pubs, hotels and residential interiors, as well as outdoor areas such as pavements and pool surrounds.
The range of available finishes and compatible substrates makes it possible to use the material in different architectural contexts while maintaining surface continuity as its defining characteristic.
