Coco & Lola Boutique in Sydney by Esoteriko

Lo studio di architettura Esoteriko ha progettato il nuovo concept store per la boutique di moda Coco & Lola, ubicata a Manly, un sobborgo sulla spiaggia di Sydney.

Coco & Lola Boutique in Manly, Sydney, designed by Esoteriko, introduces a new retail concept that reinterprets the established identity of the Australian fashion brand through a spatial language connected to the coastal context. The project combines industrial architecture, tactile materials and soft chromatic elements to create a light-filled and contemporary fashion retail environment.

The retail concept combines industrial architecture with soft material contrasts

The project develops a new retail identity for Coco & Lola while maintaining continuity with the brand’s existing visual language. Esoteriko works with the industrial shell of the building, using materials both as a textured backdrop and as sculptural insertions integrated throughout the store.

The design strategy focuses on maximising the scale of the space while softening its industrial character through warm tones and tactile surfaces. The interior balances architectural openness with a more intimate and fashion-oriented atmosphere.

Pink tones and sandstone elements connect the boutique to the coastal setting

The interior concept establishes a direct relationship with the beachside context of Manly through natural light, relaxed spatial composition and a restrained colour palette inspired by coastal tones. Pink sand is integrated into the storefront, reinforcing the identity of the brand while creating a distinctive visual presence.

Sandstone boulders are incorporated throughout the boutique as display supports and joinery elements. These natural insertions contribute to the tactile identity of the store and strengthen the connection between the retail environment and the surrounding landscape.

Material textures and natural light define the atmosphere of the fashion boutique

Materials play a central role in the perception of the boutique, functioning both as architectural surfaces and as spatial accents. Natural light interacts with textured finishes, soft colours and stone elements to create a relaxed retail atmosphere aligned with the casual identity of the brand.

The project translates the visual softness associated with Coco & Lola into a contemporary retail environment where materiality, colour and spatial openness contribute equally to the customer experience.
