Guacamholy Mexi.co is a compact Mexican take away designed by Puccio Collodoro Architetti in Palermo. Located among fashion boutiques and nightlife venues in the city center, the project translates the brand identity into a 30 sqm retail environment where geometric rigor, bold colors, contrasting materials, and references to Mexican culture create a recognizable and immersive food retail experience.
The compact layout organizes ordering, payment, and consumption within a single space

The project develops within a single room organized around the sales counter positioned directly opposite the entrance. The limited surface area is interpreted through an essential layout designed to clarify customer flow, ordering, and quick consumption.
Puccio Collodoro Architetti separates functions through strong chromatic and material contrasts. The cashier area and small consumption counter are enclosed within a monochromatic magenta box, where resin flooring, lacquered surfaces, and raw plaster walls define a unified architectural volume.
Colors and materials create a Mexican-inspired food retail identity

The sales area is defined by a sharp chromatic and material transition. White flooring extends 40 centimeters onto the walls and counter surfaces, creating a neutral base that gives prominence to the yellow tiled finishes applied to the counter and back counter.
The contrast between magenta, white, and yellow generates a vibrant and immediately recognizable atmosphere. Color is not used as a decorative layer but as a design tool capable of organizing functions, depth, and spatial perception.
The project translates Mexican cultural references into a contemporary retail environment through geometry, materials, and visual contrast rather than literal thematic decoration.
Murals and lighting details reinforce the immersive atmosphere
A large pastel-colored mural created by local street artists defines the entire wall of the sales area and introduces a direct visual connection with Mexican imagery. The graphic intervention transforms the compact take away into a more immersive space inspired by the atmosphere of a small Mexican village courtyard.
Colored LED graphics and two large mirrors with gold frames complete the interior composition. These elements amplify the perception of space while reinforcing the dialogue between pop aesthetics, cultural references, and commercial functionality.
The project transforms a small take away into a recognizable urban retail experience
Guacamholy Mexi.co demonstrates how a compact take away can build a strong identity through precise spatial choices. The project does not reproduce Mexican imagery literally but interprets it through color, materials, graphics, and atmosphere.
The interior designed by Puccio Collodoro Architetti creates a space capable of integrating into Palermo’s urban context while maintaining an autonomous and distinctive character. The result is a small food retail environment where quick consumption, visual identity, and brand storytelling operate as a unified system.
