The renovation of an old shop in Palermo becomes an opportunity to define a compact, recognizable hospitality identity with strong visual impact. Another Burger, designed by Puccio Collodoro Architetti, transforms a 30 sqm space into an American burger restaurant shaped by the Minimal Pop language, a term coined by the studio’s founders to describe their design approach.
The project is located on one of the main streets of Palermo’s nightlife district, an urban context where visibility is essential for commercial activities. Here, geometry, colour and spatial perception create an immediately recognizable interior, capable of attracting the attention of passers-by without relying on excessive decorative solutions.

Yellow colour and minimal pop identity
The most evident feature of the project is the bold use of yellow, applied to the floor, walls and ceiling. This choice creates a box-like effect that strongly defines the interior volume and makes the space consistent with the restaurant’s graphic identity.
Yellow is not used as a simple colour accent, but as a structural element of the visual experience. The continuity between vertical and horizontal surfaces reinforces the immersive perception of the environment and helps distinguish Another Burger within its commercial context.
Compact layout and perspective metal arches
Within the 30 sqm space, the layout is organized through a conceptual corridor defined by black and white marble flooring laid in a herringbone pattern. A system of metal arches is positioned along this axis, recalling the idea of Borromini’s false perspective.
The sequence of arches introduces an optical illusion that amplifies the perception of space, turning the limited depth of the restaurant into a design feature. The visual path leads the eye towards the sales counter, also framed by an arch and characterized by a square metal mesh that echoes the colours of the logo.

Lighting design with LED, neon and American fast food references
Lighting contributes to the construction of the restaurant’s image through the use of LED and neon elements. These luminous details emphasize architectural features and surfaces, creating a graphic composition that subtly recalls the mood of 1960s American fast food restaurants.
In this project, lighting design is not only functional, but also contributes to the atmosphere. Light becomes a graphic element, reinforces the pop character of the interior and interacts with geometry, materials and colour.
