Masquespacio developed an interior and retail design project for the first Mango Teen store in Barcelona, built around the use of color as a perceptual, identity-driven and experiential tool.
The store interprets the visual language of Gen Z through reflective surfaces, fluorescent tones, strong contrasts and references to the digital world. The result is an immersive environment designed to transform the shopping experience into a visual and interactive journey.

Color in retail design: visual identity and customer experience
In the Mango Teen project, color is the primary element shaping the store identity. Masquespacio combines fluorescent tones, matte finishes and reflective materials to create a recognizable environment aligned with a teen audience.
The color palette goes beyond decoration. Contrasts, reflections and fluorescent panels guide spatial perception and contribute to a continuous visual experience throughout the store.
In this context, color in retail design becomes a design language that connects physical space with digital culture, referencing aesthetics linked to the metaverse and augmented reality.
Store experience: surreal environments and interactive elements
The interior design is inspired by adolescent imagination, combining futuristic and surreal elements. A backlit entrance tunnel introduces visitors into a space that alters spatial perception.
Inside, functional elements take unexpected forms: a swimming pool becomes a display unit, a hotel reception is reinterpreted as a cash desk, and a washing machine is used as a clothing recycling point.
These devices reinforce the concept of experiential retail, where customers actively engage with the space rather than simply observing products.

Fitting rooms and digital language in fashion retail
Fitting rooms are a key feature of the project. Interactive mirrors and futuristic lighting create optical effects that transform spatial perception.
The space is designed to reflect Gen Z digital behavior, incorporating visually engaging environments that are easily shareable. In this context, the retail experience extends beyond the purchase and becomes part of brand communication.

Materials and surfaces for an immersive perception
The Mango Teen concept works with surfaces that react to light and movement. Reflective materials, matte finishes and fluorescent panels create a dynamic environment where color changes depending on the viewing angle.
This combination defines an immersive retail space, where design extends beyond furniture to include perception, interaction and customer behavior.
Mango Teen Barcelona: a retail concept for Gen Z
Through the combination of color, immersive surfaces and digital references, the Mango Teen concept demonstrates how retail design can become a tool to connect with younger generations.
The project by Masquespacio translates brand identity into a recognizable and experiential environment aligned with contemporary visual culture.
