The Cher’17 showroom in Kyiv, designed by Ukrainian studio Temp Project, interprets retail design through a language inspired by the virtual world. The project takes shape on the ground floor of a 19th-century historic building in the heart of the Ukrainian capital, transforming 254 sqm into a fluid space where reality and fiction overlap.
The aesthetics of the metaverse are central to the concept: reflective surfaces, immersive colour palettes and sculptural forms recall the visual codes of the digital world. The aim is to create a multisensory experience capable of engaging visitors beyond the moment of purchase.

An immersive showroom between art, fashion and sharing
The Cher’17 showroom in Kyiv is organized into three main areas. At the entrance, a living area dominated by a large cylindrical blue sofa faces an LED screen displaying the brand’s visual content. This space welcomes customers while also acting as a point for interaction and storytelling.

The second area, characterized by candy-pink tones, develops on a raised platform. Here, steel clothing racks and a marble podium with two dispensers for water and sparkling wine transform the shopping moment into a convivial and sensory experience designed to be shared.

Finally, the fitting room area is wrapped in a vibrant ultramarine blue shade. Irregularly shaped mirrors and metallic surfaces generate optical illusions that blur spatial boundaries. Every corner is designed as a visual backdrop, amplifying the social dimension of the concept store.
Reflective materials and spatial perception
In the project, mirrors, steel and metallic surfaces are not only aesthetic elements; they contribute to the perceptual construction of the environment. Reflections, depth and visual distortions transform the showroom into a fluid landscape close to the codes of digital imagery.
“Mirrors and steel are like water surfaces to me: observing these materials is like contemplating a lake. Water is a constant source of inspiration, a natural luxury we often take for granted”, says designer Anastasiia Tempinska, emphasizing the emotional and poetic role of materiality in the project.

A statement of resilience through design
The Cher’17 showroom in Kyiv represents not only an innovative retail design project, but also a sign of cultural vitality. In a context marked by major difficulties, the opening of this space expresses the will to look ahead and keep the country’s creative energy alive.
The project shows how a showroom can evolve from an exhibition space into a narrative place, where fashion retail, digital imagery and social interaction define a new visitor experience.
