In the heart of Delhi’s vibrant Dhan Mill Compound, the new Papa Don’t Preach flagship store, designed by DesignHex, transcends the notion of a commercial space. It unfolds as a narrative landscape where fashion, art, and nature merge into an immersive and unexpected experience.
A sculptural façade inspired by the sea
The storefront emerges as a monumental stage set. Crafted from over two tonnes of natural wood, it combines hand-carved sculptural panels with CNC-cut marine creatures. Shades of sage green and lavender, shimmering under natural light, lend the façade a dreamlike and ever-changing character. Completed in record time, this dramatic frontage embodies the brand’s bold, theatrical spirit.

A dreamlike pink interior
Inside, the atmosphere transforms into a rarefied dreamscape, dominated by smoky and blush pink tones that echo the language of the Mumbai flagship. Structural columns are reimagined as majestic trees whose branches stretch toward the ceiling—an organic metaphor for growth and creativity.
Textured pink finishes soften the surfaces with warmth, while the patchwork flooring of pink and white marble, punctuated by micro-concrete inserts, enriches the composition with rhythm and contrast.
Light as a design material
Expansive windows bring natural light into the very heart of the store, treating it as a genuine design element. Throughout the day, sunlight interacts with colors and surfaces, producing shimmering reflections and atmospheres that amplify the sense of wonder. Here, light does more than illuminate—it becomes part of the architectural narrative itself.

A new landmark for Delhi’s lifestyle scene
The choice of the Dhan Mill Compound is strategic: a former industrial area that has evolved into one of Delhi’s most dynamic cultural and commercial hubs. Within this context, Papa Don’t Preach asserts itself as a new design landmark, bringing a rebellious, radiant, and visionary language that fuses fashion and architecture into a singular narrative.
More than a store, this flagship is an experiential realm that redefines retail. It is a world suspended between reality and fantasy, where shopping becomes part of a scenographic and immersive story.
