Atelier Albertini Verona – A Bridal Concept Store by PiùStore

Atelier Albertini Concept Store dedicato alle future spose

In the historic centre of Verona, on the ground floor of a 17th-century building, Atelier Albertini is a bridal concept store covering more than 200 sqm. Designed by PiùStore, the interior develops the selection of the wedding dress into a sequence of different environments, where display, lighting and architecture progressively shape the customer experience.

At the heart of the atelier are the wedding dresses created by Turin-based designer Maura Brandino, selected by owner Katia Albertini for their focus on tailoring and Made in Italy craftsmanship. The collection is complemented by products and services dedicated to different aspects of wedding preparation.

Interior design as a journey

The project transforms the visit into a sequence of moments dedicated to the bride-to-be. The horseshoe-shaped floor plan contributed to the definition of the layout, allowing the interior to be organised as a succession of rooms with different functions and atmospheres.

The experience therefore extends beyond the presentation of the dresses. Moving through the different rooms, customers encounter increasingly private environments dedicated to discovering, selecting and trying on the collections.

The concept is already visible from the street-facing windows. Wedding dresses are framed by circular screens inspired by lace patterns, placing the product at the centre of the composition. Custom designed by PiùStore, the screens are made from laser-cut metal sheets assembled by local craftsmen.

Historic architecture and bespoke fixtures

Two screens introduce the customer journey at the entrance to the atelier. The one on the left is slightly oriented towards the window, while the element on the right becomes a dedicated display structure for the dresses. Above, a pair of pendant lights with fluid forms visually recalls the folds and draping of fabrics.

Alongside the contemporary elements, the project preserves visible traces of the historic building. A large 18th-century table is positioned against an exposed brick wall and the “AA” monogram, while in the following room a minimal display structure contrasts with the irregular surfaces of exposed brick and stone.

The accessories area features glass shelves supported by an arched tubular metal structure. Two 19th-century armchairs belonging to the Albertini family introduce another historic element into the composition.

Lighting enhances fabrics and shades of white

Alongside the decorative lighting, particular attention is given to the technical illumination of the products. The selection of fixtures, light intensity and colour temperature is intended to reveal the pastel tones and different shades of white of the wedding dresses without altering their perception.

As the journey progresses towards the more private part of the atelier, the atmosphere becomes increasingly intimate. A bronze sculpture of a nude Venus by artist Sergio Cappellini introduces the area dedicated to trying on the dresses.

The fitting room forms the final stage of the sequence. Full-height curtains, light surfaces and a decorative screen define an environment separated from the rest of the atelier while maintaining the same design language.
