Burma Jewelry Boutique at Dubai Mall: curves and display define the retail space

Burma Jewelry Boutique at Dubai Mall with suspended oval jewelry displays

Designed by Atelier du Pont, the 96 sqm Burma Jewelry Boutique at Dubai Mall translates the brand’s Parisian retail concept into a new spatial setting. Curved surfaces, suspended displays and more intimate presentation areas create a continuous interior conceived around the display and contemplation of jewelry.

The project develops a precise relationship between architecture and product presentation. From the storefront, elliptical display cases introduce the visual language of the boutique, presenting individual pieces within suspended oval frames.

Inside, the same geometry expands into the architecture. Curved walls define the circulation and establish a fluid sequence between display areas, consultation spaces and more private environments.

Curved surfaces shape the jewelry boutique

The interior is characterised by undulating surfaces clad in perforated lacquered metal, extending from floor to ceiling and giving rhythm to the space.

Against this lighter architectural envelope, matte black furniture and display cases create a strong visual contrast. Oval showcases recur along the walls, presenting the jewelry individually and establishing a sequence reminiscent of a portrait gallery.

The curved geometry is not limited to the visible surfaces. The undulations of the walls also conceal alcoves and more secluded areas used for the presentation of individual pieces, small salons and VIP spaces.

In this way, the architecture modulates different degrees of openness and privacy without fragmenting the boutique into separate rooms.

Display and privacy within a continuous interior

The display system becomes one of the principal elements of the project. Wall-mounted showcases, freestanding vitrines and central counters create different ways of presenting the collections while maintaining a consistent formal language.

Seating areas are integrated between the displays, allowing the presentation of jewelry to take place in a more intimate setting. The arrangement gradually shifts the experience from the more visible storefront towards quieter consultation areas within the boutique.

A softly reflective carpet contributes to the enveloping character of the interior, contrasting with the precision of the black furniture and the vertical rhythm of the wall surfaces.

Lighting is also integrated into the composition through individual points of light and suspended elements, highlighting both the architecture and the jewelry displays without competing with the products.

Within its 96 sqm footprint, Burma Jewelry Boutique combines display, circulation and privacy through a continuous system of curved surfaces and carefully positioned showcases. The result is a retail environment in which the architectural language supports the presentation of the jewelry while defining different levels of interaction with the customer.
