Sync Design progetta la boutique Kanishk Mehta

Located along Golf Course Road in Gurugram, India, the new Kanishk Mehta boutique designed by Sync Design translates the brand’s sartorial identity into a refined retail environment dedicated to premium menswear. Developed following a recent rebranding, the project combines architecture, interior design, materials and lighting to create a sophisticated and immersive customer experience.

The sartorial concept combines aristocratic references with contemporary retail design

The designers chose to shape the boutique through a modern and eclectic visual language inspired by Italian tailoring and aristocratic elegance. Noble materials, golden detailing and a carefully organised layout guide customers through the collections while reinforcing the premium positioning of the brand.

Brass-inlaid flooring, customised aluminium columns and grey stucco arches define a theatrical yet controlled atmosphere. Each element contributes to a distinctive identity that reflects the refined character of the Kanishk Mehta boutique in Gurugram.

The layout organises the retail experience into three functional zones

To create a clear spatial narrative, the boutique is divided into three distinct areas. This organisation separates product categories while guiding customers through a progressive retail journey focused on exploration and personalisation.

  • The entrance includes the cashier area, footwear display and casual collections;
  • The central section showcases Sherwanis and tuxedos, highlighting the formalwear selection;
  • A dedicated fabric area encourages tailoring customisation and material selection.

Each zone is designed to strengthen the relationship between customer and product, supporting an immersive retail experience aligned with the sartorial identity of the brand.

Materials, furniture and decorative details reinforce the boutique identity

The interior design features an exposed ceiling structure, golden mouldings and a large mirror that amplifies the perception of space. Decorative elements become part of the retail strategy, combining display functions with visual identity.

A leopard-print carpet runs across the boutique, evoking the atmosphere of a fashion runway, while a billiard table introduces a playful and distinctive feature. Together, these details contribute to a retail environment with a strong and recognisable character.

Track lighting enhances garments while preserving colour accuracy

A track lighting system equipped with 3500 Kelvin spotlights allows flexible control of illumination throughout the boutique. The lighting design enhances the displayed garments while maintaining accurate colour rendering across fabrics and materials.

The result is a warm and theatrical atmosphere aligned with the sartorial language of Kanishk Mehta. Lighting becomes a spatial tool used to create visual hierarchy, direct attention and support the perception of the retail environment.

“We wanted to create a luxurious and therapeutic environment capable of welcoming the modern man with a strong and memorable identity”, says Bhavuk Jain, co-founder of Sync Design.
