Life force can be soft and organic

Hoormem Muscle

Chinese interior design studio Cun Panda Nana has created cave-like interiors that embrace softness and organic feeling for a beauty center in Fujian, China.

Named Hoormem Muscle Research Aesthetics Center, the 1,000-square-metre space combines soft and rigid lines in pastel hues to give reference to “the softness of the body.”

The shapes of circles, rectangles, squares and triangles are combined in a fluid way so that they can evoke the smoothness of the body and are translated into a spatial design.

Inspired by the concept of “softness of the body” introduced by Austrian designer and architect Horst Rittel who once said: “Softness, as an aesthetic expression, has the power to improve our life”, the designers translate this idea into this spatial design.
